Program Description

PDHs Available!

This session provides an overview of proportional electrohydraulic valves as part of the electrohydraulic control system. The session presents and discusses the benefits and the challenges of upgrading a system with conventional on/off solenoid actuated valves to proportional valves. The session also presents how a proportional valve can be used to build an open loop and closed loop control systems to perform directional, flow/speed, and pressure/load control.

This program is part of the PEAK Performers in Engineering series presented by the experts at MSOE. These live online, 2-hour webinars can be purchased individually or as a series for a reduced rate. PDHs are available for each webinar.

Learning Objectives:

After completing the program, you will be able to:

  • Describe the conceptual design and operation of proportional valves
  • Explain the function of proportional valves in directional control, speed, control, and pressure control
  • Interpret standard symbols for proportional valves

Who Should Attend:
