The Women Developing Wisconsin Professional Development Awards provides up to $5,000 to support students and emerging professionals pursuing meaningful professional growth opportunities, such as conferences, competitions, leadership programs, seminars, certifications, or project presentations.

Eligibility

  • Undergraduate student (any institution)
  • Graduate student (any institution)
  • Emerging professional (brief explanation required)

Application Requirements

  • Indicate applicant status (undergraduate, graduate, or emerging professional)
  • Project or opportunity description (maximum 100 words)
  • Explanation of professional benefit (maximum 100 words)
  • Amount requested
  • Budget outline detailing anticipated expenses (e.g., conference registration, travel, lodging, meals, materials, testing fees, membership fees, etc.)
  • Optional attachments: event brochure, detailed budget document, or supporting materials

Selection Process

  • Applications reviewed quarterly
  • Selected by the WDW Awards Subcommittee and WDW Planning Committee
  • Rolling submissions; first come, first served until funds are fully distributed
  • Applicants notified within 90 days of submission
