AIML01 - A.I. Literacy
Program Description
Artificial intelligence (A.I.) is rapidly shaping the way we work and live, but do you understand what it is and how it works? This online professional certificate program introduces participants to foundational concepts in A.I., with a focus on practical understanding rather than technical prerequisites. In addition to learning core A.I. terminology, common model types, how data is used to train machine learning systems, participants will explore real-world applications, limitations, and ethical considerations. No prior experience required. Dr. Gabriel Wright is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He graduated with a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in May 2021. Gabriel’s primary research work is in computational biology, specifically studying the effects of rare codons on resulting protein expression, folding, and function.
